BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP will read Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time for November; Eric Larsen’s Isaac’s Storm: A Man, A Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History in December; Desert Queen: The Extraordinary Life of Gertrude Bell by Janet Wallach for January, and The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by Nobel Peace Prize Laureates Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu in February. Amazing lineup!
FILL A SHOEBOX – Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Get a shoebox to fill in the Narthex and bring it back by November 13 to bring some Christmas joy to a child who might otherwise have little or none.
